Most activities and events at Riveredge are planned and staffed by volunteers. They start with a planning committee that designs the event and the activities that will be included. From there volunteers are recruited to make it happen.

Over the years a multitude of citizen-based water quality monitoring programs have existed in Wisconsin. Unfortunately data collected by those programs has not been very useful or reliable because the monitoring protocols have varied so widely.
