Support LRB 1934: Leading on Lead
Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters urges you to support LRB 1934, which is currently circulating for co-sponsorship.
Wisconsinites have a right to know that the water coming out of their taps is safe to drink. Currently, there is little flexibility for water utilities to help homeowners replace lead pipes in their homes and on their property. Children with even low levels of lead in their blood can suffer profound and permanent health problems including damage to brain development. LRB 1934 would allow local communities to provide greater financial assistance to homeowners replacing lead pipes in their homes.
Support LRB 0336/1 & LRB 1988/1: Expand Outdoor Opportunities for Disabled Veterans and Purple Heart Recipients
Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters urges you to support LRB 0336/1 & LRB 1988/1, which are currently circulating for co-sponsorship.
Wisconsin currently honors the sacrifice of our resident disabled veterans by offering reduced rates for fishing and hunting licenses. In addition, Wisconsin exempts anyone in active service with the U.S. Armed Forces from the current cumulative preference system for awarding wild turkey tags when there are more requests than those available. LRB 0336/1 & LRB 1988/1 would allow disabled veterans and recipients of the Purple Heart to qualify for the exemption from the cumulative preference system when seeking wild turkey licenses and tags so they can take advantage of Wisconsin’s sporting heritage and opportunities.
