Major Announcement Outlines Non-diversion Solution to Waukesha's Great Lakes Water Diversion Application

The Compact Implementation Coalition will hold a press briefing announcing an alternative plan to Waukesha’s Great Lakes water diversion application Thursday, July 9th at 10:00am. The panel will consist of Jodi Habush Sinykin, Peter McAvoy,Ezra Meyer and Marc Smith of the Compact Implementation Coalition and Jim Drought of GZA Geo Environmental. They will announce an alternative plan for saving Waukesha residents almost $190 million in taxes and supplying a growing population with safe, radium-free drinking water, and will also outline the engineering study and the science supporting the alternative.
