All Riveredge Volunteer Opportunities

Riveredge Nature Center is here thanks to the hard work of hundreds, perhaps thousands, of volunteers. They are involved in all aspects of the activities  and are critical to the achievement of our mission. We understand that no two volunteers are alike. Some can help a little, some a lot. Some have weekends available, some weekdays. Some want to do the “grunt” work on the land and others are more comfortable planning and organizing. With that in mind, we’d like to learn more about you and your interests.

Here’s how . . .

Every year, we have a one-day work-a-thon at Riveredge in April near Earth Day – we call it a “work and learn” day as we always include some fun programs for all and a wonderful lunch for all our volunteers that day.  There’s lots of projects to choose from that are good for the entire family. Check out our calendar of events for this year’s date and time.

The MEC supports the people and work of Greater Milwaukee’s environmental community. We foster collaboration through shared space and resources, incubate new initiatives, and activate diverse champions for a clean and healthy environment.
